    About the Speaker:   

    Lt. Tommy has served with the Wylie Police Department since 1999.  He has worked as a Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, Criminal Investigations Sergeant and Sergeant over the Special Investigations Unit (more commonly known as Narcotics).  Lt. Tommy is currently assigned as the Lieutenant over Investigative Services, which entails Criminal Investigations, Special Investigations, and Child Abuse. From 2003 to 2013, he was assigned as the team leader for the Crisis Negotiations Unit and is currently the Incident Commander for Tactical Operations.  He has an associate’s degree from Collin College, a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Ottawa University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from UT Arlington.  He holds a master peace officer’s license and a TCOLE instructor certification.  Lt. Tommy is a 2007 graduate of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration Management College. 

    More importantly, Lt. Tommy has been happily married to his wife, Rachel, for almost 20 years and has two awesome kids, Caleb 15 and Hannah 12.
