Topic: Navigating through FLSA changes can be a challenge.  Brian Farrington will help guide us through the latest court rulings for exempt employees and will share other important information pertaining to salaried exempt employees.  As always he's available to answer any questions you may have.


About the Speaker: 

Brian Farrington is an Attorney with Cowles and Thompson in the Employment Law section. His practice consists of transactional work advising and representing management concerning employment law, and particularly in the areas of Fair Labor Standards Act and Equal Employment Opportunity laws. He also advises on matters related to Texas workforce Commission unemployment eligibility, government contracts labor standards (Davis Bacon Act, Service Contract Act), OSHA 11(c), and state wage payment laws. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Brian spent 12 years working with the US Department of Labor Wage & Hour Division. He has served as an Expert Witness in employment matters as well as a successful employment-related mediator.

Brian has been a long time supporter and friend to us in the payroll profession as well as Texas Payroll Conference and Dallas Chapter.
