As the year winds up and our schedules at work begin to fill up as we prepare for year-end, don’t forget to stay informed on the year-end updates sent out to us from APA. If you are not a member of APA, this is a great time to consider membership in order to stay up to date on legislative changes. As a chapter, we do our best to keep you informed as well through updates made on our Government & Legislative page. The chapter is also putting together a Year-End seminar in December, to provide you with the latest updates. As we finish up the details, we will send out communication related to this seminar.
The Board of Directors annual election is around the corner. Serving on the Board is a great opportunity for you to help with the planning and activities offered by the Chapter. If you have wanted to get more involved with the Chapter or want to help make an impact on our Payroll community, consider running for a position on the Board. I would love to have you join us! Remember, together we can connect, grow and keep our Chapter strong!
A membership survey was recently sent out, I hope you will take a few minutes to complete this survey to provide us with your input on how to improve and meet your needs.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! If you will be traveling to spend time with family, then I wish you safe travels. If you are staying home to cook, then I wish you to have plenty of helping hands. In either scenario, enjoy the time away from the office and reflect on those things which you are most thankful for!
November we will collect change for our “Change for A Change” partnership with Williams Chicken. Williams Chicken has been instrumental in making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate through their Change-For-A-Change campaign. A long-time supporter of our chapter, Williams Chicken, now needs our help by donating that annoying change that gathers in the bottom of your purse and pants pockets. Lighten that load by adding your loose change to our silver buckets at our November meeting and help someone less fortunate.
